Often, you will have a list of files that you want to provide for download. The Documents module or the Links module can be used for this.
The advantage of the documents module is that it has predefined fields for your files, including category and file size. Simple insert the module on your page, then choose "add new document" from the dropdown menu. You will notice that there are some unnecessary fields displayed, such as "owner", after you have added a document. To remove these, go to "Settings>Documents Module Settings", uncheck the relevant boxes and click update.
